Oust the Earmuffs

Submitted by: Ashley Varner

Every day, we see a huge amount of information. In our search we often come across ads, most of which we don't care about. To cope with this ad attack, many of us have developed "earmuffs". We block out what we don't want to hear, and only focus on the things that pique our interest. PR allows me to connect with people on a personal level. A career in public relations is an opportunity for me to oust the earmuffs.

As an individual who has little interest in advertisements for the exact reasons mentioned in this video, I was very intrigued by the concepts touched upon in this screening. Ashley truly conveyed the problem with today's promotion methods and provided some precise ways in which businesses can better connect and relate to their clients and customers. The visuals simply, but effectively complemented the engaging narration. Overall, the entire video was passionate, fascinating and professional. Well done!

Wonderful music & visuals - guitars and vocals along with great picture choices. The Narrator has a lovely speaking voice too.

This is definitely one of the toughest challenges to tackle and as more channels are developed, it will only get tougher to really connect with people. Ashley created an interesting video with challenge and solutions presented thoughtfully. Well done.

Great job Ashley! I love the concept of cutting through the noise of what we all hear every day and providing people with quality content.

As an unbiased viewer I think that this was a very low budget, yet very effective video that made it's point interestingly and succinctly. The creator of this is someone worth having on your team. Also liked voice and song choice, kept me interested throughout.

I really like the voice over work and the choice of song that was used. They really mixed well to push home the message of the piece rather than detracting from it.
